Airport (KIT)
Kythira National Airport, officially named “Alexandros Aristotelous Onassis”, with the IATA code KIT and ICAO code LGKC, is located at an altitude of 319 m above sea level, on the northeastern side of the island and was opened in 1970.
A significant expansion was completed in 2006, with a new terminal and an extended runway.
The asphalt runway has a length of 1,461 m and a width of 30 m.
